Which ESR Type is required?

Who sets/changes ESR Types?
It is the Educational Supervisor that has the ability to set / change the type of ESR
How does the ES set the ESR Type?
- The ES signs into their account and clicks on the trainee's name from their Dashboard:
- In the trainee's current Review Period, the ES will need to scroll down to the ESR preparation box and click on 'Prepare':
- There is an option for the ES to select 'Set whether this is an Interim or not':
- The ES will see an option to select 'Yes' or 'No' as shown below then click on 'Save'
How does the ES change the ESR Type?
- The ES will only be able to change the ESR type, if the ESR has not been signed off - if it has already been signed off please visit this help article.
- The ES signs into their account and clicks on the trainee's name from their Dashboard:
- In the trainee's current Review Period, the ES will need to scroll down to the ESR preparation box and click on 'Prepare':
- There is a field called 'Interim ESR' which will show the ES' original selection of 'Yes' or 'No'. They will see an option to click on 'Change':
- The ES will see an option to change where the bullet point sits from 'Yes' or 'No' then click on 'Save':
Why can't the ESR Type be changed?
Sometimes the ES will try to change the ESR to an Interim ESR but they will see the 'Yes' option greyed out but there will usually be a pink banner explaining this as shown:
Possible reasons that an ESR type cannot be changed
- The current ESR may already have been signed off
- A previous ESR may not have been fully signed off and the system is looking at 2 ESR's ago
- An Interim ESR might not be appropriate for the trainee due to previous outcomes / their current situation. See this help article for more information
