'ESR' stands for Educational Supervisor's Review and can refer to either the ESR meeting itself or the finalised written report.
Who completes the ESR?
- The Registrar
- The Educational Supervisor
When a Registrar reaches the end of a Review Period, they will consolidate their learning, showcase their progression by self-evaluating the Capabilities and completing the necessary declarations.
The ES will review this information, add their observations and help the Registrar set objectives for the next Review Period.
The ES will sign off the ESR first and then the Registrar will review the content then complete their own sign off to lock the ESR and produce the report.
Different Types of ESR:
There are 3 types of ESR's:
- Interim ESR's (iESR)
- Full ESR's (ESR)
- Final ESR (the last ESR a Registrar will have before CCT'ing)
It will depend on what point of your training you have reached and your individual circumstances as to which ESR is appropriate but for more information see this help article.
