RCOphth: OLD Curriculum - Practical skills Explained

Please note mandatory practical skills only apply to ST6 and ST7

The Practical skills section of your portfolio shows a list of the mandatory and non-mandatory practical assessments. 

Click the stethoscope icon to see a list with more details of your progress within your practical skills assessments.  

Next to each skill you can see if it has been achieved and when it was last done. The non-mandatory skills are listed in the 'Other' section at the bottom of the screen.

Request a Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPS)

To request a direct observation click Request DOPS from the menu. From this screen you can then invite a college to complete the DOPS, either from your existing contacts or inviting a new colleague. You can also add a personal message, and fill in some of the DOPS information, such as the date of the assessment, and the relevant learning outcome.
