(Please be aware that previously Agreed PDPs cannot currently be carried over at ESR sign off (as of 05/03/2025) but our dev team are looking to fix this. Any PDP that trainees wish to be transferred to their next Review Period must be added as a New PDP Idea and the Supervisor must transfer these by clicking on Create PDP entry from this as below)
As part of the ESR preparation, the Supervisor can have a look at the PDP review and if the Trainee has any goals to be carried over or New PDP Ideas are agreed, the Supervisor must ensure they correctly carry these to the next Review Period in order for the PDP to appear on the Trainee's next Review Period.
Review of the PDP:
The Supervisor can take a look at the Trainee's agreed PDPs by clicking on Review of PDP:
They can check the status of each one and add New PDP Ideas for the Trainee.
Manage the Agreed PDP:
This is how a Supervisor must ensure they agree all carried over PDP goals and turn new PDP Ideas into agreed PDP in your next review Period.
The Supervisor need to go to Manage the agreed PDP as shown below:
Here they will see a list of all PDP ideas (included previously agreed PDPs that are to be carried over) and they will need to ensure they click Create PDP entry from this as shown on each PDP item:
If the Supervisor selects Don't progress this idea or they leave this un-checked, then the PDP items will not move onto the next Review Period once the ESR is signed off.
