RCOphth: How to review Agreed PDPs

As part of your ESR preparation you must review your progress on all agreed PDP Goals that you have been working on in the current Review Period.

Here's how to do this:

1. Click on the PDP header as shown:

2. On the following page click on Review this goal on the first goal:

3. You'll have the option to select either Yes or No on whether you have completed the goal and each answer will bring up a separate set of options:

• If you selected Yes, you can add reflection to the goal and then click Save

• If you selected No, you can comment on why you haven't yet completed the goal but also detail the progress you have made
• You'll also see an option to select Yes or No to carrying the PDP onto the next Review Period. Please be aware that previously Agreed PDPs cannot currently be carried over at ESR sign off (as of 05/03/2025) but our dev team are looking to fix this. Any PDP that trainees wish to be transferred to their next Review Period must be added as a New PDP Idea and the Supervisor must transfer these by clicking on Create PDP entry from this as detailed in our Help Article here.

• Click Save when you have finished this

4. You will see that the system advises you that the goal has been saved and then it take you back to the main screen when you can review all other goals:

5. When your PDP goals are reviewed, they will have a symbol to the left of them (as shown below) in your main Portfolio page:
