Please be aware that we have re-aligned our NHS Designated Bodies list to reflect the GMC list here. You may notice your Designated Body is no longer listed on your appraisal, if it is one that was effected by the GMC changes.
Below we have detailed what actions are needed based on your appraisal status:
I have not sent my appraisal yet...
Your Designated Body field appears blank with no option to update this, as shown below:
Please can you raise a ticket with our Support Team via this link letting us know who your Designated Body and Responsible Officer is and we can update this for you.
I have sent my appraisal to my Appraiser...
In this scenario you will see the following page. As the appraisee you have two options...
1. Click Update something in your appraisal and then follow the advice above to contact us.
When you have completed the change through our support desk and checked it, make sure to notify your appraiser of the update by clicking I have finished making changes in the yellow banner on your appraisal overview page:
2. Your Appraiser has the option to update your Designated Body from a dropdown list. Send your appraiser a message through the toolkit to request the Designated Body change:
Appraisers - go to your Appraisal overview page from the Appraiser's Area and click Edit next to the Designated Body:
They will be taken to the below screen where they will have an option to choose the correct Designated Body for you and click Save:
My Appraiser has signed off my appraisal, I need to complete the final sign off but my DB is wrong...
If you see 'Appraiser signed off' in your Portfolio page and you have checked the Final Summary and noticed your Designated Body is wrong, then you will just need to send the appraisal back to your Appraiser to change the Designated Body for you.
-
Click on Request a change or update something:
- In the message box, you can ask your Appraiser to change your Designated Body as you don't have the option to do this:
- Your Portfolio screen will appear as below:
- Your Appraiser will need to edit your Designated Body (please see above section
I have sent my appraisal to my Appraiser... section 2 for how to do this)
- They will then need to sign off the appraisal once more.
My appraisal is signed off and the Designated Body is wrong...
In this instance, please make your Appraisal Management Team aware as they may have already received the completed appraisal summary document.
We then need to hear from you and/or the Appraisal Management Team to update the appraisal and remake the summary.
Please raise a ticket with our Support Team via this link letting us know who your Designated Body and Responsible Officer is and we can update this for you.
