As part of our continual improvement to security and in-line with NHS England’s multi-factor authentication policy, you are be required to use multi-factor-authentication (MFA) to access your FourteenFish account.
Going forward, each time you log into your account, you will receive a one-time passcode as an SMS text message to the mobile number saved on your account or be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app, depending on your chosen method.
If you already have MFA set-up through using the Consultations area of FourteenFish, you will need to follow your existing authentication process. The following screenshot illustrates what you should see...
Once your code is added you can access your account...
If you have not used MFA on FourteenFish before, you will be prompted to set this up next time you attempt to log-in.
SMS messages
You will need to add your mobile number to your account to receive a text message to activate MFA, once this is complete you will enter a code to access your account.
If you do not receive the text message after at least 15 minutes, or get a notification that your phone number is wrong, please get in touch with us here.
Google Authenticator
If you're in a location where you can't easily receive text messages or you want a more convenient method of accessing your account, you can use an Authenticator app. You'll first need to download a free Authenticator app from the Android Play Store or the Apple App Store.
Once you have installed the app, you need to follow the MFA app option, scan the QR code on your app and complete the set up...
Then go back to the FourteenFish login page to use the Authenticator app to generate a code for the site, enter this to gain access to your account.
If your device with the Authenticator app changes or you need any support to reset your device, please contact us here.
Has your situation changed?
If you are using SMS messages to authenticate and need to move your access to a wifi based login method, you can change your MFA method from the My account page while logged in, accessed from the drop down menu under your name.
