RCPsych: Dashboard page explained - Linked Supervisors

The Dashboard page of your account is where you access the Supervisor's Area to see linked resident doctor's portfolios and where notifications are displayed about entries for review, ESR and ARCP progress and direct messages. It is recommended that you use this only as a notification and resident doctor portfolio quick access point as this is not a page unique to RCPsych accounts. There are links and tools that are available to all FourteenFish users here so if you are accessing your account to also complete appraisal or surveys for your personal practice these may also appear here. 

Your resident doctors' portfolios for training and all the actions and tracking of them you need to use are on training pages accessed form the Supervisor's page.

The Dashboard page is detailed below:

1. The fish icon here is a link to the main FourteenFish website. If you end up on this page click on Dashboard in the left corner to navigate back to your account and Portfolio.
2. The top menu allows you to navigate to the different parts of your account. You will only need to access Dashboard - Supervisor's Area as a Supervisors of trainees. If you have a personal appraisal or surveys on your account for appraisal and revalidation, these are under Portfolio and Surveys.
3. Your name is listed to ensure you are accessing the correct account, it is important to check this if you are on a shared computer when accessing your portfolio. The drop down menu under your name features the My account page where account changes like registered name, email, Multi Factor Authentication, Password etc can be updated. You can also log out here or access the Help pages and Contact Us form, when needing support. Click on your initials icon or your name to expand this.
4. Always listed at the top of the Dashboard are any entries that your resident doctors have invited you to review. These must be actioned to move an entry from 'private' to the trainee' to 'counting towards the portfolio'.
5. This is your live notifications page. As you can see above, key Portfolio updates are highlighted here for your resident doctors as well as your personal products. New messages from resident doctors and ARCP outcomes. Anything that you need to action will have a pink link to take you to the relevant page. There will also be updates from any Communities you are a member of, and there may be some FourteenFish product highlighting that might be relevant to you, please ignore this if it is not relevant to you. 
6. The 'create CPD' options here are for appraisal portfolio quick CPD entry recording. You can add CPD entries that link straight to your Appraisal. If you have an appraisal set up on FourteenFish, there is a wider selection of templates in the Supporting Information section of the toolkit on Portfolio page. 
7. This is a tool available to all users to track what CPD is entered on their account over a specific/personal date range. This is independent of the Portfolio page, and does not automatically track against appraisal years. It does not show resident doctors training entries, this is your personal data. If you choose to use this tool, you must edit the date range yourself and remember it does not link to your current appraisal, it links to the All entries page. We recommend not using it and focusing on the tacking tools within the Portfolio page, if using the appraisal toolkit. 
8. Here you access all the training portfolios for the resident doctors that have linked you to their portfolios. You can directly access an individual training portfolio by clicking a name, or click on the Supervisor's Area text to access the overview page of all linked training portfolios. This sections does not separate by College or scheme, all trainees/resident doctors are listed together, should you supervise across more than one College or scheme.
9. This is a link to the All entries page to allow you to easily find entries from any appraisal year or on any template/form, that you need to look at including those locked on appraisal sign off as well as new, current appraisal work. This may not be relevant to you.
10. This is intended for those making personal or group discounted purchases of FourteenFish products that are outside the scope of your training role.
11. If you are a member of any communities on FourteenFish, these are listed here. It is unlikely that you will need this feature.
