This is a guide on how to add users to Deaneries, for example Administrators or Programme Directors. This is different to adding new Supervisors or ARCP members.
This page is only relevant if you are able to view an entire Deanery database with an admin role, and know that you are able to invite new colleagues to have the same access level. You will only be able to complete this is you have the correct access level.
First log into www.fishbase.co.uk
Check that you are viewing the correct Deanery (if you have access to more than one) as detailed by the green box. From the Dashboard click through to the Database link on the left hand menu:
From there click the Organisations link and then select the type of organisation you want to join the user to (for example your Deanery) and then click through to the relevant Deanery. You may not get this option if there are no other organisations linked to the Deanery in the database, you will be taken straight to the next step.
Click through to Users & Roles for this organisation.
From here you can see any users already in this organisation, Edit their access level, delete access (dustbin icon) and Add a user:
To add a new user you just need to add their name and email details. When you are selecting a role, there is a choice between Normal & Admin rights (can create users). This means if you want your colleague to be able to add new colleagues (as you are currently doing) to that Deanery, then select Admin rights. (Please note this is not for if you wish them to add new trainees etc just for new users to the Deanery - this is managed by the College through their central membership database).
Once you click Add, they will be emailed to let them know, and this email includes a link to set a password if they don't already have a FourteenFish account.
