Our current appraisal template is in compliance with the GMP 2022 (updated 2024) Guidelines. The new GMP 2024 Domains appear to the appraiser only, and the appraisee has the expanded Supporting Information questions from the GMP 2022 update.
Please be aware that the appraisal template Professional appraisal for UK Doctors in the context of the coronavirus pandemic is not our most up to date appraisal template:
From 1 April 2025 we will be moving all open (Doctor) Medical Appraisals onto the new template, to ensure compliance with the GMC/AoMRC requirements for appraisal going forward.
The system checks if you are on an old template for your appraisal, and will prompt you to change.
This is not optional, it needs to be actioned and cannot be reverted.
When you are on any old template and try to edit a page, you will see the prompt below...
It is important to note that:
Toolkit free text comments - All data will be transferred to the updated toolkit. Any data that does not align will be added as a Supporting Information - 'Additional Information' entry. You can access this from the appraisal toolkit or via the All entries page to cope any data back into the free text boxes of your updated toolkit.
Supporting Information - all your entries will still be unchanged and still aligned to this appraisal year as it was before the change of template.
NB: Please check all areas of the new template are complete before sending to appraiser.
This only effects users on the Medical Appraisal Toolkit template, and older versions of it. If you see a banner or warning that your appraisal does not match your profession, please Contact Us for support with changing this.
