The Revalidation preparation area offers a quick view of your progress towards your next Revalidation and the system will prompt you if you appear to have gaps.
Why is it showing gaps when there shouldn't be any?
There are two main reasons that the system may show you have gaps:
- Your Revalidation date or Start of revalidation cycle is incorrect
- There are documents that are missing specifically from this area of your account
Checking and Changing the Dates:
You can check your dates by clicking on the Revalidation preparation area from your Appraisal Portfolio as shown:
You'll need to hover your mouse just after the 'x' years from now text where a pencil icon will appear as shown:
Clicking on this will take you to the date boxes where you can view both date boxes, and amend, if required then click Save:
Checking the Documents listed within the Revalidation preparation area:
The Revalidation Preparation area looks exclusively at what documents are visible within that area of your account.
When you complete an appraisal using the FourteenFish system - this area will automatically count it within the appraisal with the revalidation cycle. Any surveys completed using FourteenFish will automatically filter into this area as well.
If you have any appraisals or surveys that were conducted via a different platform within your current revalidation cycle, they will need to be manually uploaded into this area.
Please be aware that the 'Past Appraisals' area and 'Revalidation Preparation' areas do not have a direct link to each other when it comes to non-FourteenFish appraisals.
Uploading an appraisal from a different toolkit into your Past appraisals area will not make it visible within the Revalidation Preparation area and means it will not be 'included' in what the system sees as revalidation progress. If you would like previous appraisals from a different platform to be counted towards the Revalidation progress, you will need to upload them in the Revalidation preparation area in addition to the Past appraisals area.
