How do I switch to another open review period?

If you have recently signed off an ESR and a future open review period has been already set up, you will need to switch to the open review period by marking it as current.

It's worth mentioning that in this scenario, you won't be able to open another review period and will need to switch to the open review period instead.

By switching to the open review period, you will be able to add entries and assessments to this review period, so they can be reviewed at your next ESR. The current review period is automatically displayed when you access your Portfolio. The same applies to Supervisors accessing your Portfolio.

The steps below will also apply in a scenario, where the previous review period wasn't signed off, so you can temporarily switch to it to sign it off.

To switch to another review period:

1. Go to the training map and find an open review period. Any open review period will be shown as a grey lozenge on the training map. For example:
   
2. Open the review period by selecting it on the training map and clicking "view" in the box listing the review period details:
   
   Alternatively, scroll to the list of reviews and click "view" next to the open review period:
   
3. On the next page, you will see a warning message in red. Click "make this my current review period" to switch to this review period.
