Essentially it is a placeholder Review Period for trainees to add further learning to but an ESR will not be held.
For more information see our help articles on what Review Periods are and who creates them.
Who are "Mop Up" Review Periods for?
ST3 trainees who have had their last ESR before CCT'ing but need more evidence to fulfil their training.
How is it different to a usual Review Period?
It is the same as any other Review Period but the only difference being that there is no need for this Review Period to result in an ESR.
Any entries that are created, shared and reviewed within the 'mop-up' review period will be visible to your Deanery and ARCP panel in order for them to approve your final ARCP and eventually CCT.
