A Case refers to the entire appraisal process and all the steps involved within it on the FFARMS system for any given appraisal year.
The Appraisal on FFARMS refers to the completed documentation which is generated once all parties have signed off the appraisal on FourteenFish or it is uploaded to FFARMS from another toolkit.
When an Appraisee is due for having an appraisal that year you should see that both Case and Appraisal should appear next to each other like so:
If an Appraisee is not due to have an appraisal that year they won't end up having the Appraisal word within that appraisal year's row but clicking here will show you what you need to in these circumstances.
The status of a Case changes as the appraisal process develops - for information on what they all mean feel free to check out our following page: Case Status: A Guide
