All Learning Logs created by the resident doctor, must be shared with and reviewed by a Supervisor, in order for them to be included in an ESR and become visible to the ARCP! Below we explain how to create these first:
NB: Entries can be created on a web browser or on the Portfolio App. We are showing the web browser view here with all the portfolio functions. The app only offers entry creation, no tagging or curriculum management is possible.
- Click New Entry from within the Learning Logs box:
- Click on the type of Learning Log you would like to create:
-
Enter a title, description, add any attachments and then click Save. At this point you can navigate away and your data is saved to complete the curriculum Tagging at a later date, or edit the entry.
The template below is a Psychiatric supervision meeting entry, the other forms have different sections that need to be completed...
NB: Make sure the Curriculum field is correctly set on the Portfolio overview page. This should be set at the start of a Review Period or post ARCP.
- Add the Curriculum tags by clicking on the sections then highlighting the individual domains. Once you have made your selection click Save selection:
- Once you save your the tags, as above, you are taken to the entry page. You will have the option to make changes to it by clicking Edit link or add more Competencies by clicking Manage what is tagged to this entry:
- This entry is not yet included in your portfolio, it is private to your view of your portfolio. When you are ready, you can then Share the Learning with your Supervisor.
