My supervisor has suggested I make changes to a Learning log

Once a trainee sends a Learning Log (Clinical case review etc) to a supervisor then that entry is locked to further editing. If as the trainee you realise that you then need to make further changes you have to retract the review request (this option is only available up until supervisors review the entry) make the changes then submit for review again.

What if the supervisor thinks another capability can be linked?

The supervisor can link or unlink capabilities up until the point of ESR. The trainee can add further comments to the entry but they can't edit the entry or change the capabilities once the supervisor has reviewed the entry.

Therefore the supervisor can either:

• not mark the entry as reviewed so the trainee can retract the review request as above (but the supervisor can still comment on the entry first) or 
• make the capability changes themselves and add any entry comments
