When you record a face-to-face consultation using the Consult app we assume that you will ask the patient to consent verbally to recording at the beginning of the recording. However, you don't have to do this if you would prefer to upload other evidence that they have consented to the recording being made for training and assessment purposes.
Attaching evidence of patient consent
Once the recording has been successfully uploaded to FourteenFish, go to the recorded consultation tool on www.fourteenfish.com and then click on the consultation.
You may need to go through the two-factor authentication process if you haven't viewed any other consultations recently.
Once you're on the consultation details page, scroll down and then click Edit patient consent...
From there, you can change the consent mechanism and attach a file as evidence...
This must be done before you share the consultation with your supervisor, otherwise this part of the consultation becomes locked.

I have just seen this and was unaware that we cannot share videos with supervisor before uploading consent. My supervisor has verified some of my recordings while watching them with me (after seeing the actual signed consent form), then we realised I'm no longer able to upload the consent form. Would my supervisor verification of the consent be sufficient? or Is it possible to unlock the option to upload the form again? Thank you
Hi Saba – A few other people have contacted us with the same issue. We are going to enable trainees to "unverify" consultations so that they can modify the consent evidence. This feature will be live by tomorrow (Thursday 5th Nov) at the latest. In the meantime, please raise a support ticket with us including the title of the consultation and we can unverify it for you.
