Why do we have to complete a Self assessment?
This is so you can compare how you think you score in the areas concerned to what your colleagues then score you. It is a criteria laid down by the GMC.
I am trying to complete a colleague response but it says it has already been completed?
If you are sure that this is not yourself who has done this then it may be that another colleague has done this by mistake. If you contact the colleague who is subject of the 360 they can add you again onto their survey.
How many colleagues do you need to complete the survey?
This depends on the particular question set that you are using. We suggest you try to submit details of at least 15 colleagues and ideally 20. The minimum is different for different questionnaires and circumstances. For the doctors 360 the recommended minimum is 15.
How much does a feedback survey cost?
Please see our pricing page for more information.
Do you have a refund policy?
Refunds are available at any time before you are sent the notification that the survey summary is ready. If you would like a refund please contact support and we will arrange for a refund. Please be aware that if invitations have gone out some of your colleagues may have already completed the survey (you can still get a refund but their replies will not be shared with you).
Is it only Doctors who can do a Colleague 360?
On FourteenFish we provide colleague surveys for all practice staff, including practice managers, practice nurses, receptionists and other administrative staff. The questions are tailored differently for each role.
I am a Medical Educator no longer in Clinical practice
We have a Medical Educators colleague survey specifically tailored for this.
I can't send the invitations out?
You need to submit details of the minimum number of colleagues (depends on the questionnaire but normally 15) AND complete your self assessment before the system will let you send out the survey invitations.
Can I see who has responded?
If you log into to FourteenFish and visit the survey setup page you will see how many of your colleagues have responded but not which ones.
But I want to remind colleagues that haven't responded?
We do that automatically if colleagues haven't responded 10 days after the survey first went out.
I have had an email saying the survey can be closed. What does this mean?
This means that you have had enough recipients to be able to complete the survey. You don't have to and you can wait longer to give more colleagues the chance to respond. Once the survey is closed if any of your colleagues try and complete the survey they will be notified that it is has been completed. The survey responses are then summarised and a member of the Wessex LMC staff check the summary for information that is felt inappropriate.
Is it always Wessex LMCs checking the summaries?
Some other LMCs have also agreed to check the summaries. So if you are a GP in one of these LMCs and you do a colleague survey then your LMC will check it. Currently this is Somerset, Gloucester and Surrey & Sussex LMCs.
If you are a hospital doctor, nurse or Practice manager then Wessex LMCs checks the summary as for Medical Educators. For surveys done by other members of staff a Doctor at FourteenFish checks the survey summary with the same criteria as above.
Some organisations that have purchased the colleague 360 for all its staff have opted to skip the survey checking stage.
I think I can identify who has made an upsetting comment?
Whilst the survey summaries are checked to try and prevent this of course we cannot completely ensure this as we do not know what you know and how you might be able to identify people.
What do you do if you see a response that is felt to be inappropriate?
If the survey has been checked prior to release then the checking organisation will judge if it should be removed and edit it if they feel this is appropriate.
For GP members of Wessex LMCs if Wessex LMCs judge that they would prefer to feedback the comments individually then they will take reasonable steps to attempt this.
I am completing the survey for a colleague. Will they see that it is me that has written these comments?
They will not see any names in the completed summary report (unless a colleague has included their name in comments they leave).
How is our data held?
