Once you have created a new survey, completed the Self Assessment and set your Supervisor to receive results as detailed on this page, you can move on to inviting your colleagues.
If you don't add your colleagues as soon as you create it and send the invitations, the status on your Portfolio page will show as 'Invites not sent':
How to add colleagues
Each invitee will need to be added to the survey individually, ensuring that you correctly enter their:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Job as chosen from the dropdown list
Once you have entered those, make sure to click Add.
How to invite colleagues
In order to send your first batch of invites, you will need to make sure you have met the criteria of:
- a minimum of 11 invitees
This should include a mix of the following colleagues:
- 2 consultant clinical supervisors
- 2 more senior trainees
- 1 senior nurse in the operating theatre (if the trainee has been performing surgery)
- 1 senior nurse in the out-patient department
- 1 other member of the out-patient staff (nurse/optometrist/orthoptist)
- 1 member of the administrative or secretarial team
Once you have added 11 colleagues, the option to Send out your survey will become visible in the Progress box and all invitees will be sent an email with a link to complete the survey once this is clicked.
When you click in your Portfolio, you will find the status of your Colleague survey changes to 'Invites sent' as shown:
Can I add more colleagues to the survey afterwards?
Yes - you can add additional colleagues at any time by completing the below steps:
- Scroll down to the Multi-source feedback box on the right hand side of your Portfolio
- Click on Invites sent
- Add a new invite following the instructions above on 'How to add Colleagues'
- Once you click Add the survey email will be sent right away
