RCGP Trainees under LONDON Deanery now need to add their own Posts. This help article contains the instructions to add a new Post and then edit it if necessary. Please ensure that the details from TIS or any 'agreed with Deanery' changes, are entered correctly. These will need to be added to your Training Map in line with your Stage of Training, so please ensure that you have added this as well.
Educational Supervisors can also add/edit Posts on the trainee's Training Map.
Adding a new Post
You will first need to navigate to the Training Map from the Portfolio overview page:
NB: Before continuing, please ensure that you have checked the details for the new Posts you wish to add to your Training Map. The date range for each Post will likely match the Review period for that Post, as on the Review period you also add the Organisation where the post is located (ie. the hospital where your Paediatric Post takes place). Then, once you have all the details...
Check the Training map details for the blue lozenges, these are the Posts. If, as below, your current Stage of Training and Review period have no equivalent Post recorded, click on Add a post:
First confirm if it is an Integrated Training Post (ITP):
If Yes, complete the form with details of both posts and Save. Take care completing the percentage split and Description notes, keep these brief as they are included on ARCP forms:
NB: The list of available organisations is managed by the Deanery, and issues regarding location names should be directed to them.
NB: Speciality names are not editable as this is an approved GMC list. Please select the most appropriate one available.
If No, complete the form for one location and Save. The Description notes should be brief as they are included on ARCP forms:
Please mark every post as Full-time:
Be sure to Save the post for it to appear on the Training Map.
Editing a Post
If you notice an error on a post, ie the date range is wrong (as below), from the Training Map page in the training details section click on the blue lozenge. In the Post details box that appears below the details section, click on the pink text to Edit Post:
Complete the edits to the post and Save the changes:
