RCGP Trainees under LONDON Deanery now need to create their own Stages of Training. This help article contains the instructions to add a new Stage of Training and then edit it if necessary. Please ensure that the details from TIS or any 'agreed with Deanery' changes, are entered correctly.
Supervisors can also add/edit Stages of Training through the trainee's Training Map.
Before adding the Stage of Training please ensure your Training Programme has been selected in line with your TIS record, this can be updated from within the Training Map:
Adding a new Stage of Training
You will first need to navigate to the Training Map from the Portfolio overview page:
NB: Before continuing, please ensure that you have checked the dates for the new Stage of Training. For instance, if you are moving from ST1 to ST2, you need to check the confirmed last date of ST1 on your ARCP report, before you can add ST2 so there are no gaps in your training record on the Training Map page. This will likely be a 12 months period if in Full time training. Then...
Click on Add a stage of training:
On the following page you first need to select the Deanery approved stage from the drop down list (as it appears on TIS):
NB: For extensions please choose the ST year and tick the Is an extension option (Remedial training should not be selected).
Then add the date range, mark if this is Full time or not and if this Is an extension (this is typically only used for the additional ST3 years called 'top ups'). Save the details and you will be taken back to the Training Map page where you can then add the Review period for the first part of the new Stage of Training.
Editing a Stage of Training
You should only need to edit the Stage of training if your supervisor has spotted an error, or you have agreed with your Deanery a change in your working time percentage.
From the Training Map page, in the training details section click on the ST(1-3) text. In the Stage of Training details box that appears below the details section, click on the pink text to Edit Stage of Training:
On the following page you can edit the approved ST year, the date range and the training percentage:
Don't forget to Save any changes you make.
